Blessing in the Skies was originally a blog about the adventures and misadventures of moving abroad to the Philippines. Lindsay Isenhower, the blogger and Blessing in the Skies creator, was lonely, lost and bored most of the day. While struggling to find her place in the world she leaned on kind words from family and friends who encouraged her to start a business... and that she did, with help of course!

Upon deciding to start a business she was at a loss for a name to call this newly formed entity . After much debate she went with the current name of her blog, “Blessing in the Skies,” which was taken from the Filipino misinterpretation of the phrase, “Blessing in Disguise.”

Blessing in the Skies is primarily an online business where individuals can visit and purchase various kinds of pearl jewelry from broaches to earrings. The pearls we sell are cultured freshwater pearls imported from the Philippines. The purpose of having this online business is to extend to the world the ability to have access to low priced pearl jewelry that is so often overpriced. Being able to purchase pearls at a lower price enables the average working woman the chance to accessorize without compromising her monthly budget -- allowing everyone to bring out a new luster in their lives.
